Pattern Details
Final Size: 8 x 10 in. (Aida 14 ct. cloth)
Color Count: Varies, user-selectable limit of up to 200 colors (default limit is up to 120 DMC floss colors)
Includes:
  • Pattern chart (chart measures approx. 11-1/4 x 14 in.)
  • Floss symbol & usage chart, which matches the symbols on the pattern chart to the appropriate floss colors and estimates the number of floss skeins of each color needed in order to complete the stitchery
  • Full-color computerized rendering of the completed stitchery (image measures approx. 3-1/2 x 4-3/8 in.)

Media Types
Media must be a digital image file in one of the following file formats:
  • BMP (Windows Bitmap)
  • GIF
  • JPG/JPEG
  • PCD (Kodak Picture CD)
  • PCX (PC Paintbrush)
  • PNG (Portable Network Graphics)
  • TIF/TIFF

Media Notes & Recommendations
  • We recommend using an image resolution of at least 0.5 megapixels for best results. We strongly discourage using any resolution below VGA level (640 x 480, equal to 0.3 megapixels).
  • Due to the nature of the conversion process and floss color palette, the media and pattern colors may differ. Dark colors are particularly susceptible to this.
  • We will automatically crop the image to fit the pattern, as necessary.
  • By default, we limit patterns to a maximum of 120 colors of DMC floss. This number represents only the maximum limit; fewer colors may be used. You may request a different limit value (of up to 200 colors) when you place your order, if you prefer. We strongly discourage using a limit of less than 80 colors. In general, greater limit values tend to produce more realistic patterns.
  • Please contact the customer service department prior to placing your order if you would like us to evaluate whether we can accommodate your special processing requests and/or produce a sample pattern rendering for your evaluation.
